The SEK 150 million donation by Sweden’s largest private science and research financier, the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, promoting a national expansion in science and digital learning, results in the creation of 5 visualization dome theatres accessible to all; schools, universities, scientists, researchers, companies, the general public et al., throughout Sweden; in Malmö, Gothenburg, Norrköping, Stockholm and Umeå.

Introducing science and technology, new horizons and perspectives, both micro and macro as well as deepening already found interests and encouraging pursuits:

The country’s Science Centers serve an important purpose by presenting scientific research in a playful way that awakens curiosity. In Stockholm Tekniska museet – Sweden’s National Museum of Science and Technology will be expanding with a WISDOME: a 21.6 metres in diameter and 12.2 metres in height dome seating 100 and entirely constructed in massive wood.
