The SEK 150 million donation by Sweden’s largest private science and research financier, the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, promoting a national expansion in science and digital learning, results in the creation of 5 visualization dome theatres accessible to all; schools, universities, scientists, researchers, companies, the general public et al., throughout Sweden; in Malmö, Gothenburg, Norrköping, Stockholm and Umeå.

Introducing science and technology, new horizons and perspectives, both micro and macro as well as deepening already found interests and encouraging pursuits:

In Gothenburg, the science center Universeum will be expanding with a WISDOME: a – by Universeum’s original architect Gert Wingårdh designed – 26.4 meter in diameter sphere on the roof of Universeum, housing a spherical visualization dome and cutting-edge visualization technology at its core.
